| Question: Is there an age limit for
rock climbing? |
| It depends on the climber but anyone
can try climbing. The youngest we commonly see
is 4 to 5 years old. |
Question: What is a belayer? |
| The belayers job is to catch the
climber should they fall or want to come down. This task
can be taught to anyone 13 years old or older. The Climber
is tied into one end of the rope, the other end passes through
a secure anchor at the top of the wall and then back through
the belayer’s belay device. As the climber acends the
wall the belayer takes up the slack in the rope. If the climber
should fall or wants to come down, the belayer holds the
rope in the brake position and slowly lowers the climber
to the ground. |
Question: How long will it take me to learn
how to belay? |
| We can teach most people to do this
well in under an hour. (Actually doing it in ½ hour
with our supervision.) |
Question: Do I have to make a reservation? |

regular business hours. |
